Amenities are items that are meant to serve the house for the long term as a communal utility: Shelf, Tv, Table, Shed etc.
Amenities Fund
The house maintains a separate fund for the purchase of these types of items. Any money the house receives from finning members goes into the fund. If the Treasurer deems it necessary the fund can also receive a donation as part of the budget.
Using the Fund
In order to use the Amenities fund a member must submit a proposal to the house detailing the item and anticipated cost. The amenitie must be something that would last the house at least three years. If the proposal is approved the member can either purchase the item and get reimbursed as detailed in Reimbursements or work with the treasurer to use the house card to purchase the item.
