The Treasurer is the house officer responsible for preparing the house budget, working with the Inter-Cooperative Council (ICC) finance office to maintain financial records, reviewing rent rolls, tracking fines and credits, paying house bills, and annually reviewing house staff (Chef Lynn).
Responsibilities
- Responsible to President and House.
- Prepares the House budget in consultation with the ICC, any House staff, and the House.
- Presents the House budget for member consideration by September 20th for the Fall/Winter contract period and May 20th for the Spring/Summer contract period.
- Assists ICC Finance Office in maintaining House financial records.
- Reviews rent rolls sent by the ICC.
- Maintains a document of charges, fines and credits.
- Keeps accounts receivable journal of House revenue.
- Tracks and manages cash, check, credit card, and incoming receipts.
- Pays House bills as needed and maintains the House checkbook.
- Reconciles bank statements to the ledger each month.
- Organizes annual review meeting for any staff member of the House.
