Escher has several bonfires on the mound each fall. These events typically begin around sundown and often continue until late in the night. S'mores are often involved, and members who like to sing or play guitar may lead campfire songs. If you would like to organize a bonfire, '''you must email the house at least 24 hours in advance''' to give members a chance to close their windows and avoid the smoke. It is also vital that someone takes responsibility for the fire and ultimately puts it out using the hose near the Bag End door.
