Guest Policy
The ICC’s general guest policy can be found in the OpsCom Policy. However, we as a house have set a more specific guest policy, which can be found in our standing rules.
Here is a condensed version of that policy:
- A guest, or a non-house member, can stay overnight for a maximum of 2 weeks with a house member as their host.
- Guests can stay in their host's room, common rooms, or, at the officers' discretion, an empty room.
- Note: Empty rooms are not available during the Fall/Winter terms.
- Guests are never allowed to possess a key for a room.
- The President or another officer should be informed of a guest's stay via the guest form. This is important for tracking purposes on our house, and is required by the guest policy
- Guests are allowed to use toiletries, hand soap, laundry detergent, and other similar amenities.
- Members immediately impacted by the presence of a guest, such as roommates or suitemates, (if the guest is staying in a suite common space) must be notified of the guest’s stay, including length, location, and dates of stay; the guest’s name; and the host’s name.
- Guests may be placed on Escher’s Guest Blacklist by house officers upon member petition, preventing them from staying in our house as a guest.
- Guests are generally disallowed from eating house food without payment, though they are allowed to eat suite-level guff food.
- Guests may be allowed to access parking, at the discretion of the current officer team. (the secretary is usually responsible for parking issues)
