'''Trantor Mir ''' is the first suite at Escher House located directly above the [[Office]]. Its name is inspired by places in Isaac Asimov's [http://foundationseries.wikia.com/wiki/Home Foundation series], [http://foundationseries.wikia.com/wiki/Trantor Trantor] being the capital planet of the nine Galactic Empire. A while ago we got an email from an Escher Alumni, Larry Jacobson explaining how the 9 Escher suites of came to be named. To celebrate Escher Houseand recent renovations, we will share one each day."Trantor Mir. This was a compromise between those who preferred Mir, which phonetically is the Russian word for peace, and Trantor, directly above which is the planet at the 'center of the officeuniverse' in Isaac Asimov's Foundation trilogy."
